This program donates raised bed garden boxes, soil, vegetable plants, and educational materials to low-income families, communities, and school children.

Orchid Society of Minnesota


The Orchid Society of Minnesota is sponsoring a national orchid show on Friday, May 2 - Sunday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel, I-494 at Hwy. 100 in Bloomington.


There are over 40 different orchids native to Minnesota, the most prominent being our state flower: the Showy Lady Slipper. The society will hold daily classes for beginners so they can learn how easy many orchids are to grow, and will continue to bloom year after year in our northern climates. This national event includes over 15 orchid vendors from around the world. There will also be orchid displays by 17 exhibitors including the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory from Como Park.
